Duration: Long term, 3 month rolling contract
Rate: Depending on experience and expertise in tools
Relationship: N-V works directly with the Hiring Manager

The information and Data Architect is a passionate professional with a background in hands-on application, data integration or analytics engineering, who is a critical thinker, who provides expert technical advice, mentors engineering teams and has a keen interest and experience in programming languages and all the latest technologies.

Our client is one of the most amazing businesses in the world, with state of the art data ideas and strategies, looking to improve and become even better on a daily basis. The Information and Data Department of this kick-ass awesome business, offers a great opportunity for an experienced but mostly: passionate, Information and Data Architect to join them as an external professional, on a long time basis.
You will be working with like minded professionals, who challenge the status quo, influence strategic decision making and at the same time all have the ability to solve complex problems with simple solutions. You'll be joining multiple projects and designing several solutions: ranging from the switch from on premise databases to Cloud (AWS, Azure, Open Stack) to rolling out Open Source and Big Data technologies across the company (globally and locally). Creating solutions for the physical warehouse, marketing and sales department as well as clever tech solutions for the vendors.
Knowledge and experience you will bring with you:
- Experience in a similar role as an Information and/or Data Architect
- Hands on application, data, integration or analytics engineering experience
- Exceptional collaboration, listening, written and verbal communication skills
- The ability to facility technology strategies, requirement and architectural conversations with all the stakeholders
- A deep understanding of data integration, data APIs and data warehousing, and everything related! Ranging from report and analytical platform to the implementation of application, integrations with OLTP and third party systems, data and information architecture (of course!), relational databases, streaming and batch data processing, and a strong interest in Big Data.
- Familiarity with leading enterprise cloud/virtual architectures for the likes of AWS, Azure, Open Stack, Multi Cloud, is a must.
And last but not least: you have a demonstrated track record of leading within complex organizations.
