Our Technology capability allows us to accelerate digital for Banks, Asset Managers and Insurance firms. We believe in developing applications that advance our clients' digital strategies and build highly-customized applications to shift their development practices to Agile. Our Application Development services includes Architecture & Design, Development, Performance Engineering, Maintenance & Production Support, and Migration & Application Decommissioning.
We are currently working with one of Fintech clients on a greenfield initiative and are looking for a Cloud Engineer. This opportunity is best suited for someone who has previously worked as a Cloud Engineer and has the know-how to develop and run cloud based systems. This is an exciting programme and uses new, cutting edge technologies - thereby providing the Cloud Engineer an excellent opportunity to learn and grow in a truly innovative environment.
The Cloud Engineer will work closely with the client's strategic team and influence the cloud proposition as well as the operational environment to effectively deliver containerised, distributed and highly available services. Also, the Cloud Engineer will have key responsibility towards design and selection of cloud and DevOps technology. Collaborating with junior cloud engineers, the Cloud Engineer will utilise modern Devops practices and build low maintenance, secure environments. In addition, the Cloud Engineer will also ensure smooth operation of the cloud infrastructure by enforcing procedures/policies adhering to best practice.
Key skills/experience:
- Extensive Knowledge of CI/CD tools - Jenkins (ideally) or similar
- Experience with Google Cloud Platform is highly desirable. Second preference is AWS, followed by Azure
- Hands-on with DevOps tech - Ansible or similar (such as Puppet/Chef) and Terraform
- Well-versed with orchestration systems - ideally Kubernetes
- Extensively used containerization platforms - ideally Docker
- Experience with Git/Gradle/Maven/Nexus
- Hands on with Linux - Administration, Scripting and using the terminal
- Experience of efficient operation of cloud-based solutions - monitoring, self-healing and automation
- Articulate, able to effectively explain complex technology content in a simple manner to a business audience
