SAP Change Manager
I have an excellent opportunity for a SAP Change Manager to join a leading international client based in Helsinki, Finland. Initial 6 month contract with further possibilities of contract extensions. The successful candidate will have the below experience and will be completing the following tasks:
Job description:
The Consultant will be doing close co-operation with Service Manager, Change and Release management and AMS vendor to gather changes to releases and making sure that releases are resourced and planned according to global guidelines. The consultant is ultimately responsible for the successful releases and patches to the live/production environment, helping to ensure that agreed entry/exit criteria and process checkpoints ("gates") are completed before introduction. The Consultant coordinates the change implementation, gives related training and reviews and formally closes the change on successful completion. This is a very visible role, where leadership skills aswell as strong communication skills are required.
The work load would be closer to 100% (40h/week) in the beginning, but later on a four-day work week (32h/week) is likely.
Main tasks:
- Act as backup for Service Manager, Change and Release management
- Manage and keep track of all change orders within this area and process them according to the agreed process
- Cooperate with Service Manager, Change and Release management to ensure delivery of changes, and manage the emergency release process
- Cooperate with project managers and service managers to ensure that project developments in SAP are transitioned to the service
- Proactively work with implementation of change and release process
- Cooperate with other service managers and other IT stakeholders connected to services to ensure end-to-end coverage of changes
- Proactively work with improving the efficiency of ways of working with related processes
- Contibute to improve our clients ITSM tool for change related processes and implementation
- Coordinate year end activities for SAP systems
- Financial tasks related to month end closing (monthly hour reports for consultants, cost distribution across IT and business services etc.
Required skills:
- Minimum 5+ years experience in change management.
- Working in virtual teams and team leading.
- Good understanding of ITIL processes and services
- Pragmatic knowledge on IT processes and roll out in SAP area.
