Description

Our well-known, F500 client in the NE Cleveland area is looking for a Lead Data Engineer to join their fast-paced and creative Digital Marketing team. You'd be working with a small group of talented Engineers to develop and enhance a Cloud Data Mart that is ingesting large volumes of data; you'll be involved in developing solutions around how (and what) data is pulled, how it is stored, and how it is analyzed and presented. Python and AWS are the most desired skills. Despite our client being a large, F500 organization, they're looking for a versatile and flexible Developer to join this particular team - someone who can adapt to changes quickly and learn new skills as needed. Required:
- Experience in developing for Analytic workloads with AWS Services such as S3, Lambda, EC2, EMR, Aurora, RedShift etc. or with any public cloud technologies
- Ability to exhibit programming experience/skill (Business or IT languages - Python, Scala, R, Java or C#. Experience with more than one language is a plus)
- Experience with designing and implementing APIs to transfer/consume large datasets
- Python with Flask/Django/Request libraries for API and Web development
- Ability to work with databases directly or via ORMs for both designing and querying the data.
- Working knowledge of application development life cycle including CICD experience
- User interface and visual design skills (HTML, Tableau, Advanced Excel, etc.)
- Familiarity with business processes and systems knowledge
- Experience designing and implementing very large datasets and creating innovative visualization solutions
- Working knowledge of application development life cycle, and programming languages
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated ability to create and deliver communications (written and verbal) and presentations
- The ability to work in a team-oriented environment
- Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities; time management and organizational skills

Plusses:
- SQL Server a big plus (SSIS, SSRS, PDW)
- Bachelor's degree with an emphasis in Information Systems and/or Traditional Sciences/Math a plus
- Big Data experience a plus Overtime: straight time
