HotLine contributor - IT Incident/Problem Resolution Specialist

Role

Within the Group Business Solutions (GBS) Department, the main tasks of the hotliner are:

  • Provide first level diagnostics incidents in production and pre-production environments, solve them as appropriate.
  • Assist internal users through research, queries or procedures on data production and pre-production.
  • Analyze Mainframe programs with malfunctions, suggest corrections, assist the team in charge of deployment in production taking into account the methodology and standards of the group.
  • Participate in a team of 10 people to a continuous service from 8 am to 7 pm from Monday to Friday,
  • After taking into account the severity and/or the criticality of the incident, either to fix it or call on experts in the field (the analysis speed is a determining factor).
  • Intervene on data from the production repository on request from the data owner.
  • Create and perform QMF queries on explicit request of the user (complexity level: from simple to medium).
  • Being force proposal of solutions that would reduce Hotline interventions (automation, perennial solution).
  • Answer any question from other services (eg Commercial, Operations).
  • Analyse Mainframe programs (Cobol), assist the team in charge of development, test and deployment.
  • Optional: If you have the skill, make minor fix in code and prepare deployment towards production and pre-production (Hotfix).
  • Participate to Watch-Duty activity (24h/24h, 6 days/7).
  • Participate in production/pre-production launches (evening and/or week-end).

Profile

  • Local consultant preferred.
  • 2 years higher education in Computer science (BTS or equivalent minimum).
  • Experience: This position is for someone with professional experience (mainly in technical environment IBM Mainframe) Minimum 2 years.
  • French: Mandatory (Fluent).
  • English: Written (Fluent), Oral (Intermediate).
  • O rganizational skills (method and rigor), relational quality (listening, analysis, initiative), adaptation to changes, ability to teamwork, autonomy, dynamism and availability, negotiating, priority management, compliance with procedures.

Technical Skills

  • Cobol/CICS/DB2/SQL.
  • OPC/CORTEX.
  • MQ Series: appreciated.
  • File Manager.
  • MEGA/ALM: appreciated.
  • File Transfer Manager (CFT, Connect Direct).
