Description

Dev Engineer (Data Management)

An exciting and long-term contract for an IT Dev engineer within Global Market Database (GMDB), driven by data management challenges. This is for a market leading financial client of mine. The ideal start date is August 2019 but flexibility for a September start can be given.

The main challenges being addressed by the Dev Engineer:

  • Considering the outcome of prioritization processes and related dependencies
  • Coordination with other teams, cross-domain
  • Coordination with external data vendors
  • Performing meaningful testing for several relevant goals
  • Aiming at improving time-to-market and added business value
  • Automating reporting for visibility purposes
  • Deliver smart
  • IT risk

The ideal Dev Engineer for Data Management will have the following;

  • Master of Science in Computer Science or an equivalent field.
  • Multiple years of experience with executing the processes within an Agile working environment, including risk control and configuration management
  • Experience with the responsibility and execution for the incident, problem and change management for high available systems.
  • In-depth knowledge in Unix tools and Unix Shell Scripting
  • Knowledge of XSLT, C, Java, Perl, RDBMS, SQL and VBA is recommended
  • Good knowledge of RHEL and Windows 2012 server
  • Good knowledge in SVN and Git/Github
  • Knowledge of connectivity (eg ssl), DNS, Firewalls
  • Knowledge of Asset Control is a pre
