Description
Our client located in Mayfield Village, OH is looking for a Cloud Engineer (Systems Engineer) with strong working knowledge of (Docker) container technologies and application platform as a server (aPaaS) and experience working with container orchestration utilizing tools such as Kubernetes, OpenShift or Docker Enterprise. This assignment will have a heavy customer-centric focus, including more outward business-facing interactions than traditional Back Office datacenter/technology positions. This is a 6 month contract with likely extensions.

Required:
- Strong working knowledge of (Docker) container technologies and application platform as a server (aPaaS)
- Experience with container orchestration utilizing tools such as Kubernetes, OpenShift or Docker Enterprise
- Exposure to CI/CD tool chains such as Jenkins, Ansible, GIT, Maven/Gradle is highly desired.
- Experience deploying container environments in Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure and/or OpenStack.
- Scripting and general software development knowledge
- Linux Bash and Windows PowerShell
- HashiCorp Terraform and Packer, AWS Cloud Formation and Azure ARM
- GIT and/or Microsoft TFS
- JSON and YAML
- Understanding of security concepts related to cloud (Firewall, Proxy, key management, IAM, certificate management)
Plusses:
- Experience with both infrastructure as a service (IaaS) and Development (Python, Java, or similar)
- Working knowledge of either Amazon Web Services or Microsoft Azure
- Knowledge of IBM Cloud and Google Cloud Platform
- Understanding of configuration management tools such as Puppet, Chef, Ansible or SaltStack
- Multiple technology disciplines such as networking, storage and distributed computing
- Agile development methodologies such as SCRUM or Kanban
- Agile systems development techniques utilizing Continuous Integration (CI)/Continuous Deployment (CD) and DevOps
- Amazon AWS or Microsoft Azure certifications
