TEKsystems Global Services have been engaged by a global financial organisation who are undertaking a significant programme of work within their Global Technology Department. This growing team is responsible for the delivery of a wide range of technology solutions which support the numerous requirements for the Global Markets business.
As part of this initiative, we require a skilled Java Developer who has demonstrable experience in delivering high quality, clean code for financial organisations. This role will expose the individual to all business areas, including Front Office and Middle Office.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to exercise their Java development skills and there may also be an opportunity to cross-train to other technologies, such as Scala.
Java Developer - Key Skills/Experience Required
- Experience working as a Developer within Financial Institutions.
- Experience using Java 8.
- SQL Programming Competency (with practical experience of at least one RDBMS, preferably Oracle)
- Strong understanding of software build/release mgmt (with at least one build tool eg ANT, Maven, Gradle)
- Good understanding of unit testing concepts
- Familiarity with development patterns
Nice to have skills;
- Spring Framework
- PL/SQL development
