Citrix Engineer - full Citrix Stack experience - London
£375 per day - 3 to 4 months rolling contract - London
A leading global financial services company seek an experienced Citrix Engineer with experience of the full Citrix stack of technologies to work within an operational role and provide technical support, regular maintenance and monitoring of the Citrix environment with focus on the EMEA (Europe, Middle East & Africa) regional time zone, as well as being an escalation point for 1st/2nd line support.
Experience required for the Citrix Engineer position:

Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience working with Citrix and the full suite of Citrix products.

Working knowledge of NetScaler Gateway and NetScaler Load Balancing technologies.

Highly proficient at supporting Citrix technologies deployed within the environment.

Good knowledge in Active Directory Services including DHCP, DNS, GPOs.

Good knowledge with troubleshooting and diagnosing issues with Citrix Workspace.

Demonstrable experience of working for a large enterprise, familiarity with IT frameworks such as ITIL.

An understanding of the advantage for Change and Incident Management processes to the organisation.

Ensure that patch management is executed to company standards and remediate vulnerabilities identified.

Ensure that existing documentation is updated regularly.
Responsibilities required for the Citrix Engineer position:

Monitoring and maintenance of the Citrix Technology Stack.

Maintenance of Microsoft Active Directory User groups in relation to Citrix.
-
Liaising with 3rd party suppliers whose products interface with the companies Citrix systems.

Incident and Problem management as well as an escalation point.
-
Follow ITIL and Service Management Processes such as Incident, Problem and Change management processes.

Able to collaborate with the Regional and Global teams.

Assist the Citrix lead in the implementation of new projects, systems and services.

To identify, analyse and propose resolutions to Known Errors of the infrastructure as part of proactive problem management.

To ensure the companies European infrastructure performance, integrity, availability and security is never compromised.
Desirable experience required for the Citrix Engineer position:

Knowledge of VMWare.

Knowledge of Argus Enterprise, Valcap and Developer products.

Supporting FSLogix in an non-persistent VDI environment.
-
Knowledge of infrastructure monitoring tools such as SolarWinds.
-
Knowledge of cloud based products such as Office 365 and their integration into Citrix.

Anti-Virus Management.

Ability to diagnose, troubleshoot and resolving complex problems, owning incidents from start to finish.

Ability to pass on knowledge to other members of the team and share knowledge accordingly to peers.

Manage own time effectively to ensure daily activities are dealt with efficiently and prioritize work load accordingly.
