IT Operations Engineer - Linux
Based in Southern Ireland
6 month contract + extensions
Financial Services company are looking for an experienced IT Operations Engineer to embark on a 6 month contract in Southern Ireland.
Your responsibilities will include
- Installation of application software within test environments
- Support in issues investigation.
- Log and follow-up technical issues and liaise with relevant departments.
- Provide clear, regular and consistent reporting to other members of the team.
- Identify process improvements, tasks automation, testing tools development.
Technical skills in the following domains are essential:
- Linux (RedHat) operating system: expert skills as users (ksh, csh, etc.)
- Good knowledge of JBOSS or Weblogic.
- Windows operating system basic admin skills
- Good knowledge of SQL.
- Oracle Database Administration knowledge.
- Cloud Technologies: AWS, Azure etc.
- Perl, Java, PL/SQL.
- Knowledge of Site Reliability Engineering
Additional skills in one or more of the following areas will be of advantage:
- Oracle Database Administration knowledge.
- Cloud Technologies: AWS,Microsoft Azure etc.
- Perl, Java, PL/SQL.
- Knowledge of batch scheduler UC4.
