Description
We working with a global leading financial institution looking for Network Operation Engineer who can support and continue the development of their network estate. You will have the opportunity to work with a diverse portfolio of technologies. You would be focusing on campus and data center networks, wide area networks, Internet hosting, market data, business to business environment, load- balances and cloud platform.
This would be for 6 month contract in Horsham, West Sussex
Responsibilities:
- You would be working with Global multi-location cross-Matrix team
- Be a key part of their team to drive forward and maintain our technical estate
- Work closely with other teams such including Service Desk, Platforms, Information Security and User Services
- Proactively own incidents, problems or issues adhering to SLA's and OLA's
- Work using Servicenow to update incidents and requests
Requirement
- Minimum a CCNA qualification, or holding or working actively towards CCNP
Working knowledge/Experience of the following;-
- Branch & Data Center Switching & Routing
- Wireless technologies, setup, troubleshooting and security
- Enterprise Firewalls especially CheckPoint and Palo Alto
- Internet routing and security
- Understanding of cloud technologies (Desirable)
- Site-to-Site and Remote Access VPN technologies
- Proxy technologies, Bluecoat or McAfee
- Load Balancers
- IP Address management and network services such as DNS, DHCP and NTP
- Network management, monitoring & Diagnostic Tools
- Network probes and packet capture analysis
Desirable
- Experience of working in the financial sector
- Experience of working within the ITIL Framework
- Experience of ServiceNow
