Instructional Designer

Awesome opportunity for an Instructional Designer to join a high profile and mission critical project.

You will be responsible for instructional design and development of instructor led training programs for software applications to be used by our call center. You will design and develop training program materials in a variety of formats (instructor led training material, self-paced eLearning, webinar, classroom, job aids), develop assessment tools/tests to evaluate participant comprehension, manage multiple projects, collaborate with subject matter experts in other departments to determine content and scope of training, utilize instructional design process methodology (analysis of the audience, job tasks, storyboards, flowcharts, performance objectives, testing strategies, and learning activities), conduct Train the Trainer sessions with trainers who deliver any live components, and process improvement.

The training design and outline is completed and we need your help developing the material and content. About 65% of the time will be spent on developing instructor lead training material, 15% on meetings, and 20% on logistics, train the trainer, LMS configuration, eLearning, ad-hoc presentations, email campaigns, etc. You will be working with Word, PowerPoint, Articulate Storyline, Vyond, and TalentLMS.

You will be working in an open (no cubes or offices) Agile and collaborative environment that is high energy and very fast paced.

The initial contract will end January 31st, 2020 and there is an option to extend longer term (6 to 12 more months). The project is in the Perimeter area. We offer flex hours and the opportunity to telecommute 1 day a week after 30 days and 2 days after 60 days, with manager approval. REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • 3+ years experience as an instructional designer in both live classroom instructor led training and eLearning.

  • Very strong in MS Word (advanced experience)

  • Proficient in any tools like Articulate Storyline, Snagit, WebEx, etc.

  • Strong project management skills

  • High energy and driver personality

  • Ability to work independently, perform under pressure, and deliver results on time

  • Ability to deal with demanding customers in a very fast paced environment

  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and writing)

  • Strong research and interviewing skills

  • Consultative personality

  • Work samples
