Description
Our Client is one of the leading General Insurers in the UK and they are looking for an interim Head of Tax to lead and develop the Tax department in a fast paced growing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Pro-actively reduce cash tax payments and ETR through optimisation of structures and advising on proposed transactions
- Review and enhance tax processes, embedding change to increase robustness and optimise tax and VAT positions
- Responsible for the quarterly and annual tax accounting process
- Responsible for the tax compliance process (tax returns, tax payments etc)
- Support the business on all tax issues from M&A/financing activity in UK and overseas
Key Skills & Experience required:
- CTA/ICAEW/ACCA/ADIT qualified
- Excellent knowledge and understanding of UK Corporation Tax, VAT and other taxes
- Previous in-house tax experience, ideally in a financial services environment
- International direct tax experience preferred
- Working knowledge of employment taxes
