Our client is a market leader in their sector who provide their services to over 120 countries worldwide.The company has a turnover over £9m employing over 120+ staff and are currently going through an exciting stage of development within their IT Department.
You will be joining a vibrant and friendly team of 8 in IT reporting to the IT Manager supporting up to 120 internal and external users.
The role is responsible for providing delivery day to day to support both the internal and external end users and the day to day maintenance of the IT Infrastructure whist working on some Security/Governance issues.
You will also be responsible for making technical recommendations to senior management to ensure the network reflects best practice and latest technologies. We are looking for a seasoned and proactive contractor who will be initially employed on a 3 months contract with potentially view to extension.
What you will do:
Provide desktop and remote desktop support by analysing customers problems to ensure continuation of service for end users in a tailored and timely manner (1st/2nd/3rd Line)
PC and Laptop installation/configuration to a precise and secure configuration
Manage server back-ups, ensuring data integrity as the main IT Service DeskAnalyst
Timely firmware and software updates to maintain application security
Manage of encryption and anti-virus solutions, ensuring network security
Maintain accurate support documentation regarding current systems and know issues
Maintain accurate and up to date asset records (hardware & software)
Administer software licensing for applications and operating systems
Deploy and maintain mobile device management
Hardware procurement adhering to fit for purpose criteria and offering value for money
Escalate critical issues affecting operations to the management team
Work in accordance with the ISO9001 Quality Management System

What you need
Experience working in similar role in a 1st/2nd/3rd Line Support capacity
Experience of maintaining a Microsoft environment
Experience of hardware procurement
Experience of administering software licensing
Experience in mobile device management
Experience of encryption and anti-virus solutions ensuring network security
Fantastic Customer Service experience to ensure Customer satisfaction is met at all times
Listening skills and Questioning skills
The ability to work in a pressurised environment, Keeping emotions under control during difficult situations
Experience of working to SLA's and tight deadlines (Time management)
