Senior Contract Manager

We are currently seeking a Senior Contract Manager to work for a leading Network Provider.

Work Location: Redditch

Start Date: 18th November 2019

Assignment Duration: December 2020

The client is looking for candidates with:-

Duties and Responsibilities:

This position is responsible for the creation, negotiation, execution and management of supplier contracts in the Global Strategic Sourcing organization.

The Senior Contract Manager is responsible for:

  • Developing sourcing plans based upon a strong technical knowledge of clients' needs for products/services in order to provide counsel to the business units on effective supply chain solutions
  • Leading commercial negotiations with Suppliers for high value contracts that minimize risk. If any risk exists, ensure that it has been reviewed and accepted by the client organization
  • Working cross-functionally and interfacing with other business groups throughout the Corporation to leverage existing suppliers against business unit needs.
  • Developing and maintaining Supplier relationships and performance ensuring AT&T's interests are protected.
  • Providing professional services in assigned areas of influence and impact (Commodity, Team, Process or MoW responsibility).
  • Leading and supporting Executive concurrence process to support decisions, in line with appropriate AT&T Schedule of Authorization.
  • Managing and enhancing all commercial aspects of the commodity with key relationship owners, ensuring global alignment, synergies and strategies are maintained to highest professional standard
  • Managing contracts and contractual relationships with suppliers to ensure the highest levels of rigour are employed to support and protect AT&T's business and operations
  • Maintaining appropriate data/information systems to support processes

Main Activities include:

  • Negotiate and execute, or support implementation of, product, service and resale contracts:
  • Work within multifunctional teams, taking responsibility for all negotiations with suppliers and partners concerning the provision of product, services and resale ability;
  • Provide a single point of contact between AT&T and key suppliers to effectively manage contractual and performance issues on key supplier contracts;
  • Manage contractual changes in interface, scope, deliverables and SLA;
  • Manage resolution of performance issues with suppliers.
  • Management and enhancement of global pricing

Manage Supplier Contracts:

  • Manage and implement cost saving initiatives to improve performance against budget and revenue enablement;
  • Implement processes to measuring performance of Strategic Suppliers
  • Manage escalations to ensure timely resolutions mitigating risk to the business
  • Manage the timely renewal of recurring contracts versus business requirements.

Experience: 

  • Minimum of 5 years experience in management of international and multi-national strategic supplier relationships or procurement
  • Business and cost management experience
  • Familiar with working in international teams and management across functions
