Description

Our client is seeking a Primavera Project Control Specialist with advanced scheduling experience with Oracle EPPM Primavera P6 to oversee the IT Divisions schedule controls within Oracle EPPM Primavera P6 and Team Member to facilitate on-time completion of IT application (software development) and infrastructure (hardware implementation) projects.   • BA or BS Degree in related field
  • Experience in project controls and schedule data analysis/reporting
  • Activity reporting experience with Oracle EPPM Team Member -Working knowledge of PMI PMBOK principles for SLDC -BMC REMEDY
  • Oracle EPPM Primavera P6 Administration

Complete Description:

Responsibilities:

Provides direct support to IT staff using Primavera P6 and Team Member

Develops and monitors key project metrics, performs schedule quality control reviews

Conducts project schedule baseline and change control processes

Maintains project schedule templates, activity descriptions, and WBS

Cleans up Legacy schedules and moves schedules from planned to active/archive EPS

Assists in balancing/leveling resource allocation

Validates completion of mandatory scheduled activities, deliverable approvals, and milestone completion

Implements standard operating procedures within the schedules to identify and control IT Project scheduling risks

Conducts schedule review sessions with IT team members and management to ensure project activities are properly sequenced and represent the series of actions necessary to successfully complete all task associated with the work scope milestones and key performance indicators

Instructs, trains, and coaches IT Project Managers in scheduling, data, and schedule maintenance

Ensures schedules are updated weekly by project managers

Ensures compliance with populating user defined fields and implements project codes and other measures to meet performance metrics

Ensures resource assignment to activities

Monitors schedule deviations

Validates status the project schedules to ensure accurate information and input for all project reporting requirements

Prepares and presents monthly and quarterly forecasting

Develops reports and conducts Project Schedule Analysis Develop views, reports, and portfolios to reflect project status Implements capacity planning and resource analysis Assists in agency utilization of Primavera Exalytics and OBIEE reporting
