Currently hiring for a Business analyst for an initial 6 months contract, based in Central London for our leading oil & gas client.The candidate will be responsible…
* Standardised process for trade capture
* Set standards and provide guidelines for trade entry to ensure consistency in trade modelling
* Maximise efficiency of trade entry / minimise effort
* Minimise issues with trade data inaccuracy due to mistakes
* Ensure trades are captured using the most appropriate instrument
* Ensure trade validation activity is timely
* Ensure trade validation activity is meaningful
* Minimise hand-on processing of trade data downstream
* Review reference data to ensure correct counterparty, legal agreement, tax, settlement data is accurate
Must have experience
* 5yrs+ Business analysis expertise
o Data gathering
o Experience of writing standard project documentation; e.g. requirements, design, testing docs
* Knowledge of commodities trading lifecycle
* Familiarity with Power, Gas and Environmental products
Other responsibilities
* Interviewing traders and other business users to gather requirements
* Writing requirements documentation
* Writing functional design documentation
* Process mapping
