Risk Manager - MOD - Waddington, Lancashire - £350-£400 per day, 10 month contract
We have a newly created position for an SC Cleared Risk Manager to join a large transformation programme within the MOD. Please note you must hold current SC clearance to be eligible for this position.
As the Risk Manager, you will be joining a transformation programme that is focused on bringing together disparate elements of an MOD service into a fully integrated capability.
This is a highly visible programme that offers a long-term contract for a Risk Manager who has a good understanding of MOD operations in scope of IR35.
Responsibilities:
*Provide guidance on risk management processes and corporate governance
*Maintain the corporate risk register and ensure quarterly review of corporate risks
*Produce regular programme and project risk updates
*Monitor quarterly review of divisional risks
*Ensure risks and their potential impact are accurately defined and assessed
*Actively manage and review appropriate mitigation plans
*Work with programme office to improve quality of project and programme risk management activity
*Ensure two- way communication of key risks to inform business decision making
*Facilitate risk identification workshops to assist identification of business risk
*Provide guidance and support to planning officers in their role as divisional risk-coordinator
*Identify risk management skills gaps for identified individuals and facilitate appropriate training
*Coordinate governance meetings, including the production of supporting documentation
