Description
Next Ventures is currently looking for a Dutch or French speaking SAP BI Analyst for a role based in Brussels.
The BI/BW Medior Analyst & Implementation is primarily responsible for:
o analysing needs;
o evaluating possible solutions taking into account costs, risks, future evolutions (functional + technical), impact on maintenance, ...;
o implementing (including testing) the chosen solution;
o continuous alignment with the strategy at the enterprise level on the one hand and the latest developments at BI level on the other; delivering in short cycles and in close cooperation with the business (agile).
The BI Analyst & Implementation develops:
o high-performance reports (tool: Power BI + Power Bi Service)
o models in SAP HANA according to the Kimball principle (Hana Native) = data marts
o uses SAP sources via BW extraction (generated hana views)
o develops data engineering (via SAP Data Services and/or python Scripting)
o produces test plans to achieve performance & unit testing (preventing regression, ...)
o provides a documented model (BI catalog, data flow diagram, sourcing, UML ...)
o provides expertise according to the self-service model (assistance report layout, ...).
The BI MediorAnalyst & Implementation is also responsible for reporting to the BCC Team Lead
and to senior IT management
Data analysis and simulations to better map possible dependencies.
Key skills required:
o Reporting
- Power BI + Power BI service is a must (DAX/M query)
- BO knowledge is an asset (AFO, Webi, .)
o SAP Hana
Kim Knowledge Kimball approach is a must (choice of dim/fact, documentation, ...)
- Strong SQL/modelling knowledge is a must (model optimization, ...)
o SAP BW
- Knowledge of the underlying ERP system is an added value (PM, FI, HR, ..)
- Knowledge about the BW is a plus
o Data Engineering
- Python Scripting is a must
- Sap Data services or demonstrable knowledge with an equivalent ETL tool (job organization, different types of jobs, etc.) = demonstrable experience
- Knowledge of cloud sources (API, ...) is a must (eg log analytics, ...)
Big Data:
- Knowledge is this domain is a plus
- Spark (python, range, ...)
- Hadoop stack (NiFi, ...)
- Orc, Parquet,
- Streaming
General:
- UML knowledge is a plus
- Team player (working according to the scrum model - agile)
