System Security Engineer - 2 days telecommute!
Exciting opportunity for a motivated IT professional to join a highly visible and crucial team as a System Security Engineer on the Vulnerability Management team for this enterprise company.
As a senior member of the vulnerability management team, you will work proactively with other team members and engineering groups to manage systematic scanning of networks, systems, and applications seeking ways to prevent and improve the integrity of this company's sensitive information on a systems-level.
A self-starter with a background in systems administration/engineering with a strong understanding and interest in cybersecurity will be critical for success in this role. If you are skilled at identifying, understanding, and resolving complex systems and network security problems, then this is a position for you! Hands on experience with vulnerability remediation, threat/risk prevention, scanning tools, and Scripting skills (Bash, Shell, Python) will put you in top consideration!
This is a 6 month contract to hire position in Downtown, Atlanta with a leading global organization. This is an excellent opportunity to get in early on a security team that will be growing over the next year. REQUIRED SKILLS:
- 3+ years of Windows and/or Linux Administration/Engineering
- Operating Systems - Windows and/or Mac and/or Linux
- Light Scripting skills - Bash and/or Python and/or Shell
- Some security experience or strong interest to move into security
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
PREFERRED SKILLS:
- Experience with Risk/Threat Prevention and Remediation
- Splunk - highly preferred
- SQL/Excel skills
- Linux/Windows System Administration
- Network Administration
- Strong understanding of data/data flows
