Eximius have partnered with the digital arm of a global business, providing mobile payments and mobile commerce services within the telecom sector. My client is looking for a Senior Java Development Lead to join on a long-term project.
This is a great opportunity for a Senior Development Lead to work on an exciting greenfield project. The mission, is to drive the evolution of their Mobile Payments platform to a fully microservice-oriented architecture.
This is a 6 month contract initially, you can work remotely however be flexible to travel to Milan 2-3 days per week. Expenses covered by the client.
Core responsibitlies;
- Lead a group of Java Developers of varying experience levels to develop features and maintain reliable and reusable Java code for our application stack
- Troubleshoot problems and find innovative approaches to solve them efficiently
- Design and conduct code testing to harden the components before releasing
- Discuss requirements with product developers to provide optimal solutions
- Accept challenges to improve the quality, stability and performance of our applications
- Prepare technical documentation and contribute in group knowledge-sharing opportunities
- Contribute comprehensively to a massive programme of change(s) and take responsibility in the execution and implementation of these changes
Skills Required;
- Extensive experience in Java development teams, (Java, Kotlin, and Node.js)
- Track record of running small technical teams, while acting as a go-to tech person within the broader organization
- Experience implementing large-scale changes within technical teams
- Capacity for leadership, coaching, and mentorship
- Expert knowledge of Spring Framework MVC, Data, HATEOAS, Security, Cloud, Boot)
- Strong knowledge of Enterprise Integration Patterns
- Experience with relational and non-relational databases (MongoDB, Elastic search)
- Understanding of data brokers and streaming software
- Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Experience in agile software development (SCRUM, Kanban)
