Senior Python Developer - Dublin based - €550 per day - 6 month extendable contract
Our client, a large financial institution based in Dublin is looking for a talented senior developer to work in the Global Markets Risk Technology Data team. The successful candidate will work closely with our business partners to define requirements, develop, implement and support key system applications.
The developer would be working as part of the Counterparty Credit Risk Data Analysis team, building out automated data comparison and analysis solutions. This would involve working on high performance Server Side components and dealing with very large volumes of data. Day to day this would involve working as a member of a global team .
This exciting role, based in our Dublin office, is well suited to strong developers with a keen interest in new technologies and investment banking. The candidate will work in the Global Markets Risk Technology Data team and will be contributing to some of the most significant risk projects in the organisation in a highly agile environment. The successful candidate will work in a global team with colleagues in Ireland, the UK, India and the US. It offers opportunities to learn about technologies used in banking as well as ongoing training and the opportunity to work with and learn from technologists who are experienced in delivering successful enterprise scale solutions. It also provides an exposure to Investment Banking and in particular Counterparty Credit Risk.
As Senior Python Developer your skills and qualifications will ideally include:
Skills:
- Strong data/database development experience (relational and object) with strong SQL skills.
- Python Experience in an Object Oriented environment, Experience of design patterns
- Experience working with large, complex code base.
- Strong user interaction and problem analysis skills.
Experience:
- Experience in developing high performance Server Side applications dealing with very large volumes of data.
- Server Side development experience
- Extensive database development experience
- Experience working directly with business users to define requirements and build out new features.
- Experience with different SDLCs - Agile/Scrum, Waterfall etc.
- Previous experience in banking/finance sector an advantage, but not essential
- Experience/Understanding of Counterparty Credit Risk an advantage, but not essential
