Software Engineer/DevOps Engineer/Software Developer
The Risk and Finance domain is one of the five domains within my client's IT Systems. Risk & Finance is responsible for the development and maintenance of Group Risk Management, Finance and HR systems.
A new structural data logistics and reporting landscape called GRFD (Group Risk & Finance Data platform) is being realised in this cluster for Risk & Finance.
Within the Data Structural cluster we work together in several multinational teams organised in three so-called business stacks, an overarching data management & logistics track and a team which support other solutions.
This data warehouse uses the SAP HANA platform and Informatica applications, including PowerCenter for the ETL functionalities. The various architectural data layers are based on the DataVault technique and dimensional modelling, derived from a central group-wide logical data model. The new GRFD data logistics are being implemented to standardise and improve the quality of the various required reports and to be able to respond more quickly to internal requirements and those of the regulators.
The function:
As a Software Engineer/DevOps Engineer/Software Developer you are part of the innovations team within the business. You are responsible for creating and implementing CI/CD pipelines via Jenkins and Azure DevOps. You analyse and support our test automation framework which currently uses FitNesse. You can write Java based FitNesse fixtures and you are able to support and guide the data warehouse testers on how to use the test automation framework. You make risks transparent for and together with the product owner and users. Continuous improvement is self-evident for you and you dare to challenge current working methods and tooling. You have in-depth development expertise and you combine this with broad knowledge about other fields (eg databases and .NET or Visual Basic applications). This allows you to take over the activities of other DevOps team members when needed.
The ideal Software Engineer/DevOps Engineer/Software Developer profile:
We are looking for a senior developer for whom Groovy and Java has no secrets, but also easily Switches between various programming languages like C# and Python. Not only "reads" them, but also produces hands-on. The most important thing is in-depth knowledge of and a lot of development experience with Groovy and Java.
The automation solutions within Data Structural mainly consist of the following languages and frameworks/tools:
* Groovy for scripted Jenkins pipelines
. Java and Javascript
. Python
. FitNesse for test automation
. GIT
* SQL
But also:
* .NET VBA Webforms
. Classic VBA (Excel scripts that will have to be refactored into C# .NET)
. Azure Cloud & DevOps
