Japanese Speaking SAP Project Manager - Tokyo
Purpose of the job:
As the Henka Regional Project Manager, you will be responsible for the delivery of the roll out wave for the Henka transformation program to the Japan region, ie to the sites located in Japan, China, Korea and Taiwan. You will report to the Global Program Manager.
Main responsibilities:
* Manage the day to day activities of the roll out wave
* Monitor the project budget and report these to the Global Henka controller
* Monitor the plan and the roll out progress
* Monitor the project scope
* Control Project quality
* Identify, register, assess and mitigate regional risks and issues
* Recruit, manages, assess, monitors and motivates project resources and align these with the Global Program Manager
* Negotiates regional contracts
* Communicates with and manages the regional stakeholder expectations
* Creating project updates and report these to the Global Program Manager
* Closing the regional roll out wave and register the lessons learned
Requirements:
* Minimal a Bachelor's degree in computer- or business-related discipline required
* 8+ years' experience with managing full life cycle SAP projects, preferably with SAP S4 Hana
* Recent experience with a minimum of managing 3 full SAP life cycle implementations
* 8+ years' experience in a supervisory capacity
* Ability to complete projects on time and within the stated budget
* Excellent communication, organisation, time-management and leadership skills
* Affinity with IT and experience in business consultancy are strong assets
* Prioritising, planning and organisational skills are essential with an eye for detail
* You have a great sense of responsibility and possess strong analytical skills and problem solving abilities
* Experience of working to tight deadlines and delivery focused projects
* Advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications like PowerPoint, Excel, Word, etc.
* You are flexible, loyal and enthusiastic
* You are a team player and are able to motivate team members
* You are a creative problem solver and keep the global overview at all time
* This opportunity does not allow any remote work and is 100% onsite
* Although the basis is Tokyo, Japan, happy to travel when required
* Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and Japanese
* Korean and Chinese language skills are a bonus
The most important thing my client is looking for here is someone who has successfully managed SAP Projects recently. You will be managing a budget of around 15 million and a team of around 50-60 people. Any experience with S4 Hana is a bonus.
The ability to speak both fluent English and Japanese is also a must.
