My client is a well-known global telecoms infrastructure provider. They currently seek a Circuit Switch Engineer to assist in delivering client services in Holland.
The Circuit Switching Core (CS Core) Engineer is responsible for the following:
Main tasks during the Delivery Phase:
-Install and integrate new HW and SW to customer CS Core network;
-Provide CS Core network support to customers implementation project;
-Planning and participate of CS Core network Upgrade;
-Producing CS Core network related technical site specific documents.
Main tasks during the Care Phase:
-Install new SW-releases/updates to customer CS Core network;
-Provide CS Core network SW-support to customers;
-troubleshooting either remotely or on-site;
-Answering to Help Desk requests;
-Ensure the performance and quality of the technical platform, Routers, Servers etc.;
-Covers telephone assistance, assistance through remote connection and on-site assistance of customers CS Core network;
-Participation to Company Emergency Support Service if applicable:
The person is to stay reachable by phone/pager 24/24 hours, 7/7 days,
separate compensation according to current compensation policy;
-Prepare action plans for future software and hardware upgrades in the CS Core network;
-On the job training of customers personnel.
Qualifications:
-Broad, in-depth knowledge of:
GSM systems;
Circuit switching platforms;
Operating and Management of telephone Switches,
CCITT/ETSI/ITU protocols;
Russia specific signalling systems;
Preferably Company equipment experience: GSM Switches, Fixed line Switches;
Advanced problem correction and SW updates in telecommunication networks;
Experience to work within customer service;
UNIX, IP technology knowledge will be a plus.
