Interim Senior Vice President Software Development
Logix have an exciting opportunity for an experienced SVP to join a large global distributor.
The role is responsible for IT ownership of my clients global innovative cloud platform. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of innovative e IP software development and delivery, a technology evangelist, with ownership and accountability for new product innovation. Must provide the vision and management to enable the cloud business across the globe to achieve strategic objectives through functional capabilities, technology and automation.
Essential functions:
Be a technology evangelist, with ownership and accountability for new product innovation
- Provide leadership and direction to the team to drive innovation and deliver commercial grade IP products
- Establishing a product strategy that aligns the current business vision, while maintaining a strong eye towards the dynamic nature of the technology marketplace
- Build market-leading core capabilities, drive a repeatable innovation process, and deliver quality cost solutions on-time and on-budget leveraging both internal and external teams
- Delivers business led portfolio as defined in the global portfolio process and annual operating plan
- Demonstrates Executive leadership, collaborating with the broader management team to ensure a culture of trust and empowerment through reinforcing shared values
- Executes consistent project management methodologies and practices while ensuring maximization of resources and timely delivery of quality solutions
- Vendor management, contract negotiations and procurement of IT software assets
- Work with the extended IT executive team to formulate worldwide technology strategies through the use and optimization of global systems
- Lead the team through the complete development life cycle, incubating ideas and managing the product through the various phases of growth, maturity, and product launch
- Lead the development of multi-year product roadmaps, developing the necessary research to identify long-term market needs and challenges
- Work across functional and geographic boundaries to continually identify opportunities and refine market and product roadmaps
- Ability to manage diverse teams, including offshore providers and other third parties, to develop products that satisfy clients current needs and future vision
- Demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills and successfully integrate themselves into the management team
- Track record of leading organizational and cultural change in large corporations
- Effectively communicate strategies, plans, and status to senior management and others with excellent presentation and written communication skills
- Support marketing and sales efforts through participation in proposals, presentations, meetings, and conferences
- Effectively manage resources and budgets to maximize performance and efficiency
- Drive a high level of employee engagement by effectively communicating company strategy and product vision
- Create and nourish an environment that drives continuous improvement, continuous delivery and optimizes best practices, and foster a culture of excellence based on creativity, merit and productivity
