Description

Brand Marketing Assistant required by our leading international air transport company in Hayes Middlesex for an initial 3 months contract. Working in our clients Brand Team within the Corporate & Digital Communications function.

We are seeking a driven and passionate individual to be an integral part of the small creative brand team.

Print/digital/web/comms/advertising/planning.

This role may suit a candidate who has previously worked in a Graphic/creative/marketing agency/freelancer or candidate who has worked within a corporate Brand marketing agency.

This role covers multiple areas and is hugely varied due to the nature of Brand Marketing. The responsibility in the company is to drive a strong brand identity through design, visuals, tone of voice, campaigns, analysis, governance and overall company reputation activities - all in line with company goals and objectives. You'll work with designers to deliver collateral and assets for events, sales, advertising, office branding, communications etc as well as have the chance to work with agencies to deliver high profile brand activity eg brand positioning, guidelines, external brand surveys and portfolio campaigns. However, the majority of this role is managing the day to day requests that come into the Brand Team to produce marketing deliverables - this is not a designer role, you will be working with and managing projects through the two in house designers.

The role offers constant opportunities to take responsibility for, and be involved in, a wide range of projects. You'll get the opportunity to build your skills and collaborate with a highly skilled international team from across a variety of professions eg events, HR, legal, online marketing, portfolio and GEO marketing, sales, strategy etc, as well as project manage your own jobs and take responsibility for maintaining the Brand.

We are the brand guardians and an essential part of this role is having a strong brand knowledge and ensuring that all global activity is in line with our brand guidelines and our brand strategy as well as our company strategy. We're looking for a strong individual who understands the importance of brand reputation, who will stand up for the brand, ensure the visual and tonal implementation is correct and help to drive the brand forwards.

Key responsibilities

The Brand assistant is responsible for managing work across all channels - print, digital, web, video, communications, advertising, planning and analysis from a project management perspective. You will report to the Head of Brand and work closely with the 2 designers.

As well as deliver required projects for our internal customers and manage the work through the design team, a key aspect of the role is to maintain brand consistency across all projects and help to build understanding through the business of why this important. We are currently evolving the brand guidelines, and this is a great time to get involved in shaping how we use the brand moving forwards.

You will:

  • Be able to work effectively and professionally with any internal customer (Marketing, Events, HR etc.) to deliver their requirements effectively and on time (project manage, not produce actual artwork etc.)
  • Be a self-starter who will recognize and act on brand requirements and projects across the business - this is a role to make your own and not one that you will have your workload managed for you.
  • Ensure brand consistency across all deliverables
  • Manage multiple stakeholders from different departments and countries across a single project
  • Manage tools eg asset library, brand Intranet site, merchandise site, brand mailbox etc. as well as effectively manage the template updates, agency and supplier relationships and any other requests that come to our team.
  • Take responsibility for financial maintenance of the team eg POs and budgeting sheets
  • Run the weekly team meeting to prioritise workloads and deadlines with the designers
  • Report to the Head of Brand with regular updates on progress and maintain administrative elements within the team

Role requirements

  • A degree-level professional qualification relevant to marketing, business, communications etc
  • At least 5 years' experience in relevant job roles
  • Marketing experience in brand marketing or another relevant marketing discipline within a commercial business or marketing agency (approx. Senior Account Manager level)
  • Recent B2B marketing experience
  • IT/technology/telecoms specific industry experience preferred but not essential
  • Experience working in a Marketing agency or global corporate environment - self-initiating with ability to work independently and as the member of a team
  • Customer service oriented - as per agency backgrounds working for their clients
  • Ability to work under pressure and adapt easily to any requirement with a solutions-led mindset
  • Experience in managing and building strong business relationships and influencing senior/executive management decisions
  • Organized, dependable, dedicated and detail-oriented team player
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) to deal directly with customers/clients
