Description
For one of the biggest E-commerce companies worldwide we are looking for an OpenStack Engineer. The duration of the contract will be 12 months with option to extend. Location: Amsterdam.
For this role you will be responsible for supporting and maintaining the existing OpenStack private clouds.
Responsibilities
- Set up and maintain OpenStack projects
- Support and work with our colleagues and partners worldwide
- Deep dive into technical issues and work with our vendors
- Review and improve reliability requirements for our clouds, for example HA testing, capacity planning
Core Skills
- 2 years + experience with managing OpenStack environments
- Strong Linux knowledge
- Understanding of Container technologies like Docker and Kubernetes
- Some knowledge of deployment tooling like Terraform, Ansible or Puppet
- Ability to script in one or more Scripting languages, like Python
Desirable Skills
- Understanding of overlay networks
- Understanding of Software defined networking, BGP, VLANs, network architecture and load balancing
- Google Cloud Platform, GKE, ECS
Requirements
- Occasional travel to Berlin/London
