DevOps Engineer Monthly rate - Rate TBC

Long term contract (initial 12-months)
An exciting opportunity for a DevOps Engineer to work for one of the biggest clients around the world has arisen. This role is open to all levels of experience and the monthly rate would reflect experience level. Our client is ideally looking for candidates with experience in continuous integration and automation.
The successful candidate will be responsible for building and providing support to the continuous integration and deployment automation for various applications with complex build and deployment practices on environments hosted either on premise or on cloud infrastructure.
Job Outline:
* Design, build and maintain the DevOps platform which covers areas such as build automation, deployment automation, test automation, SDLC orchestration, environment management, monitoring, and production release procedures.
* To establish and maintain the pipeline infrastructure, which is virtualized or containerized and hosted either on premise or on cloud.
* Serve as a primary point responsible for the overall health, performance, and capacity of the pipeline infrastructure.
* Support agile practices from application team constantly by enabling pipeline activities with cutting edge open source tools and technologies to scale and optimize the release process.
* Maintain and extend existing automation scripts. Understand and enhance the existing build processes.
* Ensuring landscape availability and stability of environments (dev, test, stage, pre-production pipeline to, training and live systems).
* Enhance the overall product quality by providing automation tools to accessible to developers for integrate and adopt.
* Establish and drive the standard practices across the applications and constantly bring optimization through automation of the CI/CD practices.
* Drive innovation work closely together with the developers from various application teams to integrate new components smoothly into the product
* Investigate and evaluate new tools and DevOps technologies Self-driven, proactive, explorative, analytical thinking and problem-solving. Strong drive to automate manual processes.
Experience:
* 5 years in-depth experience in automation of DevOps Practices.
* Expertise on OpenShift administration, Docker and containerization.
Education:
* Bachelors degree in Computer Science or equivalent
Knowledge/skills:
* Proven technical experience in CI/CD automation.
* In-depth knowledge of the build and automation tools and hands on expertise to use a wide variety of open source technologies and tools.
* Proven technical expertise on container management using OpenShift is a must.
* Ability to code and script and having professional experience with programming languages (Java ), Scripting languages like Bash/Groovy/Python/Ruby.
* Good Analytical skills.
* Good to have experience in Aviation domain.
* Good to have knowledge on Networking, DNS, Load Balancing technologies, NAT & VPN etc.
* Working knowledge of a public cloud platform like AWS/AZURE would be a plus. This includes cloud operational tasks in regards to scalability, deployments and zero-downtime upgrades.
* Experience working with the ELK stack (ElasticSearch Logstash Kibana) would be a plus.
* Knowledge on Caching solutions in cloud like redis, Messaging solutions like activemq, rabbitmq would be a plus.
* Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible, Chef would be a plus.
