Description

Millennium Consulting provides specialist consultancy services that deliver complex finance transformation programmes for international clients. We are currently working on a large IFRS 17 (Insurance Contracts) regulatory compliance programme and require an experienced quality focused SAS Development Consultant.

Key responsibilities

Working as part of a large IFRS 17 SAS project team you will be responsible for designing and developing SAS reports, visuals and analytical models to meet the needs of IFRS 17. You will be involved with extracting, collating, performing data integrity checks, manipulating, analysing and reporting data. You will be building and suggesting appropriate solutions for risk, finance, insurance and related areas and proactively generating insights and solutions to the business to ensure that the requirements of IFRS 17 are met.

Qualifications, skills and experience needed

A background in life insurance/reinsurance or financial services and a general knowledge of the financial services industry's regulatory and reporting frameworks

Actuarial knowledge and experience in valuation, financial reporting, pricing, Solvency II and/or ORSA

Understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) including IFRS17

Professional actuarial qualifications such as FSA, FIA, CIA or equivalent

Consulting background - ideally Big 4

Experience developing or using Actuarial software such as Prophet, GGY Axis

Familiarity with Accounting Close processes and/or using SAP, Oracle or other GLs

Experience with ALM or Economic Capital Models in Insurance

Experience querying large data sets using SQL

Deep understanding of analytical data techniques and related visualisation

At least 10 years of hands-on experience of SAS data integration (DI), SAS visual analytics

(VA), SAS infrastructure for risk management (IRM), SAS Business Rules manager (BRM), SAS

risk and finance workbench (RFW), model implementation platform (MIP)

Previous experience working on Regulatory change programs such as Solvency-II, Basel III.

IFRS 4, IFRS 9 or IFRS 17

Problem solving abilities

Strong verbal, written, and presentation communication skills

Ability to work independently and in diverse, virtual, cross-functional teams

Computer Science, Maths or Statistics degree
