The Senior Java Developer will IDEALLY HAVE AT LEAST 65% of the following skills:
- At least 5 years work experience as a Java Developer
- Interest in mortgages
- Fluent command of the Dutch language is necessary, because the Legacy code is developed in the Dutch language.
- Good command of the English language
- Work experience within an enterprise landscape
- GitHub needs no explanation
Tech stack consists of a minimum of: Java8 +, Spring (boot), Maven, Git, JUnit, Microservices, Docker, Jira, Jenkins, QA tooling, contract testing, Angular, JavaScript, React Native, HTML5, CSS3, NodeJS. Elastic Stack and Cucumber are an advantage.
The Senior Java Developer will perform the following responsibilities:
- Our biggest challenge is to understand, maintain and improve the code that has already been written.
- Together with the team responsible for the calculations of the mortgage applications.
- Structure the existing code of mortgage calculations in such a way that the code is really in order (clean code).
- 24/7 support for applications that we develop and maintain for millions of customers.
- Designing calculations, making the composition & unlock the API.
- Thinking about and contributing to the innovation that we must make.
- High engineering & architecture design.
- Analyse, program & to test.
- Initiate department improvements & present results
