AWS Platform Engineer - 12 Months Contract - Leeds

Urgent requirement has come about for an AWS Platform Engineer based in Leeds - 12 months contract.

You will have:

  • Strong commercial experience of managing complex multi-tier enterprise infrastructure environments
  • Extensive experience of CI pipeline development for Windows and Linux environments
  • In-depth configuration management, automation and Scripting skills including use of both PowerShell and a UNIX Shell, such as Bash
  • In-depth knowledge of platform and application automated deployment and package management technologies: Jenkins, Octopus Deploy
  • Exposure to continuous integration and build tools
  • Exposure to iterative/agile development methodologies (SCRUM, XP, etc.)
  • Use of source code version control (git)
  • Experience of Linux system administration skills
  • Experience of Microsoft .NET technologies and Windows system administration
  • Understanding of software and infrastructure architecture

Desirable Experience:

  • Configuration of cloud based Firewalls, load balancers and other virtual infrastructure
  • Good database knowledge and SQL skills (on an enterprise database such as Oracle
  • Software development experience
  • Exposure to or knowledge of web security, eg OWASP, CIS Benchmarks and scanning technologies
