AWS Platform Engineer - 12 Months Contract - Leeds
Urgent requirement has come about for an AWS Platform Engineer based in Leeds - 12 months contract.
You will have:
- Strong commercial experience of managing complex multi-tier enterprise infrastructure environments
- Extensive experience of CI pipeline development for Windows and Linux environments
- In-depth configuration management, automation and Scripting skills including use of both PowerShell and a UNIX Shell, such as Bash
- In-depth knowledge of platform and application automated deployment and package management technologies: Jenkins, Octopus Deploy
- Exposure to continuous integration and build tools
- Exposure to iterative/agile development methodologies (SCRUM, XP, etc.)
- Use of source code version control (git)
- Experience of Linux system administration skills
- Experience of Microsoft .NET technologies and Windows system administration
- Understanding of software and infrastructure architecture
Desirable Experience:
- Configuration of cloud based Firewalls, load balancers and other virtual infrastructure
- Good database knowledge and SQL skills (on an enterprise database such as Oracle
- Software development experience
- Exposure to or knowledge of web security, eg OWASP, CIS Benchmarks and scanning technologies
