Role - FP&A Process Consultant

Duration - Contract (4 months)

Location - London, UK

Detailed job description - Skill Set:

  • We are seeking FP&A Process Consultant to guide and define Financial Planning process for our Client's financial planning and budgeting Solution involving Annual Budget, Forecast, Cost Allocations and reporting. The FP&A Consultant will provide subject matter expertise and leading practices to assist in designing Financial Planning process. If consultant has any prior working experience with EPBCS or Enterprise Planning and Budgeting will be a great value add.
  • In-depth and extensive experience in Financial Planning and Budgeting process design in multi-country environment
  • Proven analytical skills to understand current divergent processes and reporting as well as analysis of what can be dropped off from divergent processes to bring them into common process
  • End-to-end experience in designing financial planning and budgeting process solution for large clients in multi-country/region/markets environment
  • Sound technical hands on experience with EPBCS
  • Very good understanding of financial accounting, planning and finance domain along with Management and Country specific reporting
  • Proven ability delivering complex and time sensitive business requirements

Required Skills:

  • Minimum 10 year experience in industry specifically in designing Planning and Budgeting process
  • Minimum 4 year experience designing and/or developing PBCS/EPBCS solutions
  • Minimum 3 EPBCS implementation experience
  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in accounting or financial domain with strong technical expertise

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Lead Planning and Budgeting business process stream:
  • Understand and define functional process flow for financial planning and budgeting, optimize plan cycle
  • Work with client stakeholders and end users to gather requirements, understand current process and timelines, assess current one with Global best practices and re-design client planning process
  • Obtain stakeholder buy-in for new process design and planning steps
  • Recommend ways to enhance and accelerate the plan-to-report process
  • Leverage content knowledge and past experiences to recommend and deploy industry best practices in financial planning and reporting
  • Assess and analyze different countries planning and reporting processes and recommend ways and means to bring them on common planning process
  • Prepare key deliverables such as requirement documents and process design document as well as document all key process design decision points
  • Knowledge transfer and co-work with technical team for business process to technical process translation
