Description
A prestigious company is on the search for a Linux Support Consultant contractor. This will be a 6 month long contract located in Bloomington, IL. This is a tear 2 production support position that needs to have Scripting experience with Bash, Perl, VMware. They will be on call rotation for weekends 1 week out of each month.Responsibilities:
- They need to be proficient in Linux and or AIX operating systems with exposure to Windows Server in areas of administration/troubleshooting/Scripting/automation.
- Experience in virtualization/storage/network and security technologies/practices
- Experience with reliability engineering/system monitoring
- Analytical thinking with experience in system performance, problem identification, and/or root cause analysis
- Ability to work with end-users to resolve assigned incident tickets/issues in a timely manner, including participation in on-call rotation to provide after business hours support for priority incidents.
