RPA Developer (UiPath) - Automation Center of Excellence
Our client is a global asset manager and offers a mix of investment solutions within a broad range of strategies to institutional and private investors worldwide. Our client's head office is in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. The company has a strong presence in the US, Europe and Asia and a developing presence in key emerging markets such as India and Latin America. Our client was founded in 1929 in the Netherlands as Rotterdamsch Beleggings Consortium. Today, our client is the centre of asset management expertise for ORIX Corporation, our client's majority shareholder based in Tokyo, Japan.
Automation Center of Excellence (ACE):
In 2019 our client implemented UiPath, started with RPA-development and created a so-called 'Automation Center of Excellence' (ACE). As part of IT Delivery (COO-domain), the ACE focuses on the development, support and maintenance of Robotic Process Automation solutions. Currently we have one Full time RPA-engineer (UiPath level 3 certified), several Robo-enthusiasts throughout the organization and we also actively partner with an external party for on-topic support and assistance. For 2020 we aim to further strengthen the 'Automation Center of Excellence' and also increase the RPA-development. Next to a RPA Developer we are also looking for an experienced LEAN Business Analyst.
Your role:
As a RPA Developer you are part of the 'Automation Center of Excellence'. The ACE has an ambitious agenda and is responsible for both maintenance and project delivery. Together with the ACE Lead, Business Analyst, business stakeholders and other RPA Developer(s) you work on the development of RPA-solutions. You make sure that the platform and robots run smoothly, issues are identified and solved rapidly and you contribute to project deliverables (focus on time, scope and budget). You have the ability to work on truly meaning- and impactful company-wide projects.
A typical day includes activities like:
- Daily standups to discuss progress and issues with ACE-team;
- Develop or amend RPA-solutions;
- Demo functionality in the product review sessions, attend backlog refinement sessions, openly discuss team performance during retrospective sessions;
- Analyze, solve and report on encountered issues;
- Prepare a deploy/release (Azure pipelines), documentation, support users, etc.;
Requirements
Ideal candidates meet the following criteria:
- Bachelor degree or higher in Information Technology or related technical field preferred;
- At least one year of experience with UiPath/RPA Development, Azure DevOps and .NET;
- Truly passionate about technology and intrinsically-motivated to keep (technical) skills up-to-date and relevant;
- Able to efficiently troubleshoot, analyze and discuss issues both with the team and business stakeholders
- Able to identify and initiate improvements on processes and tooling;
- Experience with Scrum, Agile, LEAN and DevOps;
- Strong focus on efficiency, effectiveness and high quality deliverables;
- Strong communication skills, doesn't ignore the elephant in the room and is proficient in Dutch as well as English language (written and oral).
- Proactive and able to work to both independently and as part of a team.
- Start January '20, Fulltime position (40hrs a week) and on site (Rotterdam)
