Procurement Officer

Our client are a large local government organisation and are looking for an experienced Procurement Officer to join their team. This is initially a 6 month contract which may be extended for the right candidate. Our client is looking for someone whop can come on board and support the Category Specialists which will include, analysing data and completing tendering activities with E Tendering systems. You will also be tasked with monitoring compliance to contracts and provide advice and support on all aspects of procurement to services including tender procedures, compliance with legislation, relevant contract terms, tender evaluation strategies as well as resolution of disputes to minimise both to minimise both financial and non financial risks to the client.

To be considered for this role you will be an experienced procurement professional who is CIPS certified. You will also ideally have experience of working within a public sector environment.
