Financial Accounting Manager contract - 7 MONTHS - DECEMBER START - TELECOMS COMPANY
Requirements: Qualified Accountant - ACA/CIMA/ACCA
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Deliver better performance through the effective, accurate and timely production of appropriate and insightful Management Information and financial reporting
- Responsible for the month-end activities - ensuring Balance sheet reconciliation is signed off on time and Accruals and prepayments are complete for the close.
- Ensure reporting requirements and commentaries are actioned for monthly packs.
- Develop Business Cases for Black Hat and Investment Committee approvals
- Develop financial planning and reporting models for the Budget, Forecast and Long-Term Plans, providing robust financial planning assumptions under supervision of the Head of Finance.
- Present Cost Centre performance, outlook, risks/opportunities to the teams and key stakeholders
- Responsible for the production of customer reconciliation and billing instructions in accordance to the terms of the customer contracts
- Act as Subject Matter Expert for: Rates and Power pass-through processes; Pipeline reporting; Capex recovery; Service credits analysis and monitoring.
Person Specification:
- The ability to interpret financial results and provide management reports on financial performance
- Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to clearly present outcome of modelling to stakeholders
- Able to handle high levels of pressure or ambiguity and critically make decisions whilst maintaining professionalism
- Ability to work to tight deadlines and to prioritise and simultaneously manage several key business priorities
- Strong interpersonal skills, including ability to communicate persuasively with senior members of staff
- Experience of dealing with internal and external customers
