Commercial Negotiations manager - Telecoms (Mobile and Fixed Line) - Oman - Contract - Start ASAP
Our client is launching a third party mobile operator in Oman.
This is a unique opportunity to build a Legacy free digital first telco company focusing on providing exemplary customer experience, and to bring learnings from and to the rest of our client with a future forward outlook
This is a Build, Operate, Transfer (BOT) project that, after launch, will gradually become a more traditional branded Partner Market arrangement.
This role will execute the commercial negotiations with regards to on Interconnect, Backhaul, International Voice and IP Gateway, Transit, Site/Tower access, SS7 and signalling, and Data Centres.
Key accountabilities and decision ownership
- Undertake the activities required to define, design and deliver the connectivity requirements for Client Oman with a focus on Interconnect, Backhaul, International Voice and IP Gateway, Transit, Site/Tower access, SS7 and signalling, and Data Centres.
- Develops constructive relationships and leads discussions with respective stakeholders to negotiate all commercial terms and identify.
- Acts as a main point of contact for International Roaming agreements.
- Might represent our client in Oman as part of the GSMA
Core competencies, knowledge and experience:
- Relevant experience in the telecom industry (group/Opco) and substantial experience of the relevant field of competence.
- Experience in negotiating roaming agreements national and/or international.
- Start-up experience desirable.
- International experience across different cultures, ideally experience of having lived and worked in Oman (or in the Gulf) and/or understanding of the Arab culture.
Key performance indicators:
- Negotiating plan in place for Interconnect, Backhaul, International Voice and IP Gateway, Transit, Site/Tower access, SS7 and signalling, and Data Centres
- Plan and business case for collaboration on international roaming.
Must have technical/professional qualifications:
- University degree
