Key activities in the role will involve:
* Design and advise on electronic product hardware and systems including their sub-systems.
* You are responsible for design, simulation, implementation and verification of digital circuits in collaboration with other disciplines such as mechanics and embedded software development.
* Creation of specifications for digital, electronic products and hardware.
* Creating specifications for the development of digital and electrical hardware products and their operating systems.
* Reviewing design and engineering outputs from internal and external design resources.
* Working with relevant regulations, for EU and International applications.
* Work with design team to develop/procure working prototypes and mock ups.
Essential Skills and Knowledge:
* In depth industry experience in the design and engineering of digital and electronic hardware, machines and systems for physical products.
* You have some experience using simulation tools and measuring equipment for measuring digital circuits and interfaces (standard interfaces like SPC, I2C, and customer-specific).
*You have experience with digital circuits in which FPGA's and CPLds are used .
* You prefer experience with simulation tools to ensurethe signal integrity , i.e. optimal sealing of signal lines, line length optimization,etc.
* Some experience in writing VHDL code for hardware testing purposes is a pre.
* Commercial awareness and the ability to attract new clients and win new projects. Able to demonstrate strong planning / organisational skills
* Good all-round knowledge of the physical electronic and digital product development process. The components, materials manufacturing processes and programming associated with digital products.
* A deep awareness of digital hardware development supply chains - where to source things and who to work with.
