Description
Responsibilities:
- Understanding video and audio formats and codecs across post production, studios, broadcasters, OTT and VOD workflows
- Define and implement transcoding profiles using multiple transcode technologies
- Define and implement ingress and egress transmission workflows using industry standard services such as Aspera and Signiant.
- Define and implement metadata transformation workflows using technologies such as XSLT and rules engines
- Work closely with the Global Platform Operations team to provide requirements, manage timescales and test deliverables
- Work with content operations teams to implement complex processing, editorial and creative workflows which leverage on premises talent and technology across facilities.
- Ownership and management of the onboarding request backlog, ensuing the quality and timeliness of delivering onboarding requests
- Manage access requests for clients, 3rd parties and current employees to the content processing and transmission systems,
Experience required:
- Previous experience in an onboarding environment, managing technical media and metadata workflows, defining and building transcode profiles and managing transmissions systems is essential.
- Experience in video, broadcast, OTT and VOD systems
- Knowledge of public cloud platforms, such as AWS, and understanding of security, performance and cost implementations of operating media workflows in cloud environments.
- Strong knowledge of transcoders such as Hybrik, Telesteam, Harmonic, Imagine, transmissions applications such as Aspera and Signiant, SAN, NAS and Object storage, Windows, Mac and Linux, Servers, networks and data centres
