Description
Network Engineer - CCNP - Voice - Glasgow - Onsite - £300 per day
Primary duties will include design and development of networks, hardware, software, configurations and implementation automation which support Operational, Non-Operational and Corporate Voice estates. You will be working closely with other Engineering teams and users of our network in order to identify requirements, develop future network services and increase design automation.
Key Deliverables
- Designing and implementing various voice solutions (mostly VoIP)
- Collaborate with multiple stakeholders to understand current problems and requirements and provide the correct solution
- Complying to Network Rail standards
- Configuring and implementing solutions on Call Managers, VoIP gateways and similar devices from various manufacturers including CUCM, MX-One and Openscape
- Identify, propose and implement opportunities for automation of configuration of the above systems and devices
- Identify, propose and implement opportunities for further monitoring and management of the voice estate
- Project delivery and implementation on production network. Coordinate project logistics including vendor management, documentation, handover etc., within approved budget, schedule
Key skills required to deliver the service
Essential
- Experience in IP Network & Voice/IP Telephony
- Experience with Cisco Unified Communication Suite & a strong understanding of LAN, WAN & telecommunication operations is mandatory
- Strong knowledge of Cisco networking systems with the ability to configure & troubleshoot voice related hardware and configurations
- Scripting and programming of automation systems for systems configuration
- CCNP or CCVP certification
