REQUIRED: APPROVALS MANAGER
LOCATION: FILTON OR CORSHAM
DURATION: 6 MONTH INITIAL CONTRACT

Essential
*Recent and relevant experience of Approvals Management
*Recent and relevant experience of writing Business Cases
*An understanding of the MOD, its project management methodology and approach
*Evidence of successful management and delivery of complex projects
*Evidence of working collaboratively as a member of a team and building strong relationships with colleagues in other disciplines as well as industry
*Knowledge and experience of Office 365 products

Desirable
*PRINCE 2 or MSP qualified
*Evidence of successful management and delivery of complex projects within the MOD
*Experience of Single Source Price Regulations within MOD

Description
The Approvals Manager will report to the Approvals Lead and will have a general knowledge of project and information management as well as project controls. The individual must be enthusiastic, proactive, astute, multi-tasker, possess excellent communication and presentation skills and must be willing to assist in all activities to get the job done.

Responsibilities (to include but not be limited to)
*Co-ordinating and capturing the necessary evidence required for approvals and investment decisions, ensuring they are referenced in accordance with the recognised information management process.
*Acting as the day-to-day point of contact within designated projects for Approvals advice and guidance working in conjunction with the Approvals Team
*Supporting the Projects and any other Project staff by providing direction and guidance on Approval processes which are relevant, such as MOD Scrutiny, Information Systems and Services Programme Management Office, Cost Assurance and Scrutiny, Defence Economics, Defence Procurement & Assurance Service, Front Line Commands, Her Majesty's Treasury and Cabinet Office.
*Drafting business cases and evidence documents for any category of project approval where required.
