Description
Our client currently has an open requirement for an experience Infrastructure Engineer with proven experience in Oracle, Weblogic and Red Hat Linux, to be based in Brussels, Belgium.
The consultant will work for the AFIS Framework and Portal applications that manage electronic documents and their secure exchange between internal and external users.
Nature of the tasks
The consultant will perform the following tasks:
- Provision of expert advice and assistance, technology watch, evaluation studies, architectural considerations, applicable standards, solution patterns and best practices in the domain of server management, DB management, data center architecture.
- Design and implementation of Oracle Weblogic Application Server systems
- Design and implementation of Oracle database management systems (DBMS)
- Setup, configure, monitor and manage the following systems (setup and config through the usage of Puppet):
- Oracle Weblogic application & Oracle database Servers
- Red Hat Linux systems on VMware
- Network and IT security equipment, incl. reverse proxies
- Performance analysis and tuning of Oracle Weblogic application Servers, Oracle DBMS and reverse proxies
- Management of CCN gateways, and advise on CCN architecture
- Troubleshooting on system level, check system log files
- Implement system changes, install system patches and support infrastructure changes
- Provide 2nd level support
- Interface with external suppliers and manage calls with 3rd level support for the different systems used for the AFIS platform
- Assist the AFIS service manager to ensure availability and capacity management
- Perform architectural design/reviews for the existing and new systems and IT security solutions
- Document system configuration, draft system documentation & operating procedures
Knowledge and skills
Proven experience in the following areas:
- Oracle Databases, Oracle Grid Infrastructure (10 years)
- Weblogic (10 years)
- Red Hat Linux (10 years) - certification mandatory
- VMWare (5 years)
- Scripting - Python (5 years)
- PKI (5 years)
- CCN architecture (5 years)
- Puppet
- Satellite
- IPA
- Docker
- Monitoring with Zabbix
- Knowledge of ITIL based IT service management; ITIL Foundation certification would be an advantage
- Experience in multi-client and multinational environments
- Excellent working knowledge of English and French (both spoken and written) is mandatory
- Ability to participate in multi-lingual meetings, ease of communication is mandatory
- Rapid self-starting capability and experience in team work
Contract for an initial 12 months paying up to €500 per day LTD.
