Agile Coach Process Analyst Lead 6+ month contract to hire
Location: Bloomington, IL
Duration 6 month with an extensions
This is a contract to hire experienced and certified scale agile framework safe Program consultant agile scrum agility training coaching
Primary role is as Agile Coach. An individual who can influence and lead the organization through transformation, while building and maturing our practices, regardless of delivery method. This role requires the aptitude to take a pragmatic approach in coaching teams with the ability to adapt based on their "readiness" to pivot to SAFe, Agile, or a hybrid approach to delivery execution.
Responsibilities
- Strong program and project management experience with leadership and proven ability to influence and drive change
- Enabled to deliver scaled agile framework classes (ie Leading SAFe, SAFe for Teams, Scrum Master, PO/PM)
- Deliver workshops and training on Scrum & Kanban practices, techniques, and ceremonies
- Develop and refine content material as needed for workshops, training, and team coaching sessions
- Coach teams on collaboration and backlog creation and prioritization
- Conduct readiness assessments to determine agile type and readiness to transform to agile
- Act as a role model for change, transition, learning, and growth
- Leads problem solving activities to define problem, assess root causes, and identify solutions leading to desired outcomes
- Provides feedback to management at all levels regarding the progress of Agile transformations
- Anticipates and identifies issues, and provides recommendations to address roadblocks
- Conducts and evolves health check metrics across the teams and ARTs for executive reporting
- Coaches teams and management towards improving agile processes and metrics
- Develop and evaluate team metrics and make recommendations to teams and management for improvements
- Captures feedback and continuously improve Agile guidance, training materials and content
- Guides the organization towards Agile maturity, including transforming to Lean Portfolio Management
Qualifications
- Experienced and certified Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) Program Consultant (SPC) with in-depth knowledge of Scaled Agile, Scrum, and Kanban
- 5+ years working in an Agility training/coaching role with exposure to large size organizational transformations
- Solid oral, written, and presentation skills as well as excellent interpersonal skills
- Experience with independently transitioning teams to a variation of Agile process
- Experience coaching and mentoring software teams on Agile process transitions
- Experience in creating and delivering Agile training/workshop
- Able to handle conflict resolution well, facilitating discussion and alternatives of different approaches
- Ability to assess product organization and advise on team structure
- Ability to help craft, develop, and deliver training content
