World Leading Global Energy Oil Company has an exciting opportunity for a Backend Developer to and to make calls on the tech being used, as well as look at code and be a focal point for the product.

There are a huge amount of new products being built and this position will be working on the starting point of a large product group that is about to come through for Trading and Supply.

These group of products are still currently being defined, so this role will be key in development roadmapping. Also, this product needs to be fit for purpose to feed into a lot of the other innovation work.
As Lead Developer will need to be an experienced Backend Developer (ideally in Golang/Go, or have had recent exposure to Golang) with the ability to take charge and be the focal point for the product.
This role will also lead a small team of Software Engineers from a technical view point and re-platform a data heavy product.

- Data structures and modelling (Cloud Firestore)
- Streaming data processing experience (Apache Beam)
Key Responibilities:
- You will be in charge of developing data pipelines and APIs to serve their web apps and data science models
- Get to know their customers and craft a product for their needs
- Get to grips with the business case and work with the team to try and solve the underlying pains that plague their users
