Key accountabilities:

We are looking for a Service Desk Analyst to join our team and to work on one of our client sites for an initial 6 months period in West Malling, Kent.

  • Provide first level support through taking calls via the IT Service Desk queue, which will include diagnosing and providing resolution at initial point of contact or logging a ticket, triaging and referring on to 2nd or 3rd line support functions.
  • Monitor, analysis and action the main IT Service Desk mailboxes
  • Administer the Telephony System including troubleshooting, extension creation, deletion and amendments.
  • Administer the Email and Internet filtering tools.
  • Log tickets with 3rd party suppliers and manage the relationship relating to the outstanding support.
  • To provide desk side and queue assistance at our satellite office in London (once every 2 weeks)
  • Communicate notifications when necessary to the business regarding upcoming service updates/outages.
  • Effectively manage Priority 1 incidents including communications and follow up reports to investigate root cause.
  • To provide a high level of First Time Fixes

Skills

  • Must have a minimum of 1 year Service Desk Experience
  • An understanding of network systems (Servers, Switches etc)
  • Ability to triage calls and prioritise incidents/requests
  • The candidate must be driven by results and a willingness to assist others
  • Ability to start on the 4th September

Work Hours: Mon-Fri 8am-6pm (9 hour day, 8 working hours between 8am-6pm).

This position is within the defined scope of Plan-Net's Information Security Management System (ISMS). The post holder is responsible for being at all times compliant with Plan-Net's Information Security Policy and all other policies, processes and documentation which relates to information security within the Company as outlined in the Plan-Net Staff Manual.
