Java Developer needed with active SC Security Clearance. 6 to 12 Month Rolling Contract based in Birmingham. An opportunity to develop new features for a large-scale integration programme.
Please note: this contract is outside of IR35. Start ASAP in January 2020. Key skills, experience and tasks will include:
- Java developer with in-depth hands-on experience gained on large-scale Spring based solutions.
- Experience of large, complex integration projects including: distributed systems, messaging + web services.
- Key technical expertise required: Java, J2EE/JEE, Spring, Micro-services, Hibernate (JPA), Web Services (SOAP/RESTful) + SQL Server databases.
- Connecting processes across a number of systems with message brokers like ActiveMQ.
- Working with Test frameworks (JUnit, Mockito, Powermock, JMock + DBUnit).
- Continuous Integration (CI) methodologies (Maven, GIT, Jenkins, SonarQube).
- Working with open-source database management systems (like PostgreSQL).
- Any experience of the following would be advantageous: Spring extension projects (Data, Cloud, Batch, Security, Cloud), AWS (EC2, SQS, RDS, KMS), Agile (Scrum/TDD/BDD), Angular, Postfix + BPMN (Activiti).
