Due to recent success, year upon year my client is now looking for a highly skilled FIX Software Engineer specifically with expert Java engineering skills, to help out with multiple build outs as they onboard more and more clients. There will be a big focus on the re-architecture and scale of their existing platform covering all aspects of FIX Engineering. You will also be working closely with various teams to design and implement new API features.
The ideal person suited to this position will be a passionate, creative technologist with experience across the Fixed Income business who can add value from day one.

Essential Skills & Requirements:
- Java/Scala 7-10 + years
- 2+ years' experience in VC, banking, management consulting, PE, or finance at a start-up
- Java development skills preferable
- Advanced financial modelling (excel) skills
- Intellectually curious, have strong analytical skills and communicate key insights effectively
- Excellent problem structuring, identification and resolution.
- Experience with structuring executive presentations
- Strong project management skills with the ability to balance multiple priorities
- Comfortable performing in a fast paced, dynamic environment, managing both internal and external constituencies and working effectively with cross-functional teams
- Ability to develop strong relationships, embracing cross-functional collaboration to influence peers and executive leadership on complex business topics
- Comfort with taking ambiguous mandates and driving actionable insights
- Understanding of the Fintech and/or Fixed Income landscape
