Description

Service Desk Analyst (GDS)

As part of Triad's ongoing collaboration with a consultancy partner, we are looking for up to 5 Service Desk Analysts to help support services that their Service Management team are setting up with Government clients.

The services are comprised of the following high-level tech stack. You won't be expected to have a working knowledge of these; however, it would be beneficial if you have previously worked on a Service Desk that supported GDS aligned, public-facing, digital service.

  • Ruby-on-Rails and Java (Spring Boot) Front End.
  • AWS Platform-as-a-service technologies (ALB, Route 53, Cognito, S3, Fargate, RDS, DynamoDBSQS, Cloudwatch, Cloudtrail, Xray).
  • DevOps Continuous Integration and Deployment technologies (AWS CodeDeploy, Terraform, Docker).

The role will involve:

  • Working on a very busy 2nd line Technical Service Desk that supports an innovative and modern digital service operated by a major UK central government department.
  • Taking ownership of problems, working proactively to resolve them, providing a high standard of customer service.
  • Dealing with technical queries, undertaking technical root cause analysis and resolving technical issues on your own and as part of a team.
  • Liaising with 3rd parties and suppliers and keeping the client and key stakeholders notified and informed on call status and progressing in a professional and timely manner.
  • Liaising with technical service specialists to escalate complex and recurring issues for more detailed investigation and resolution.
  • Possessing excellent verbal and written communication skills, having experience of working within an ITIL environment, and being someone who will thrive on working under pressure and to deadlines.
  • Having 2-3 years previous experience of working as a Service Desk Analyst for bespoke solutions in a customer facing environment.
  • Being well organised, self-motivated, a self-starter, punctual, and flexible in your approach to work.
  • Having the flexibility to work on-call, out of hours and potentially different shift patterns.
