SAP Project Systems Consultant is required for our Global Client based in Central London.
We have a large WRICEF (Workflow, Report, Interface, Conversion, Enhancement, and Forms) item relating to Project Systems andconcerns an issue in Project Systems itself. An enhancement is required to help with automating revenue trading on POC (Proof Of Concept Projects) where there is an inter-company element. For example; if our client has the order with the customer on their US sales office and our UK plant is executing the project. Standard SAP will only trigger anything inter-company when there is an invoicing event. Our POC Projects trade monthly irrespective of invoicing events based on cost accrued. Our client needs to manually drive revenue recognition based on costs incurred in the UK plant against the order with the US sales office. They were hoping projects would have a solution rather like standard orders regarding this. - In other cases, where we have seen a gap with SAP (like warranty on batch managed products) we have seen EHS (Environmental Health & Safety) suggest a solution that other customers commonly use. - However, on this issue our client are not seeing anything. Our client are wondering if this is a result of the lack of experience with projects or whether we are genuinely asking for something where, in fact, we should be looking at changing to a standard practice? Our Client are also wondering if this is the right level of sizing for this? They are not sure there is a standard SAP process for this and an entirely manual resolution would be a bit of a step back for them largely because we have some means of automation involved in our current system.
Our client requires a specific consultation on this issue to see if our design point/strategy is right to have to pursue this enhancement if they do not wish to revert to a completely manual process.
